Would you like to become a member of the Kingston Congregational Church? Most, if not all, Sundays our deacons welcome people to worship by saying, “No matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey, you are welcome here.” We welcome all sojourners to worship, work and walk with us! Sometimes those sojourners feel like they have found a spiritual home with us and want to join us in a covenant of membership.
Membership is meaningful—symbolically and practically. Making a commitment to a person, a group, a cause helps us to clarify and deepen our own identity and values. Joining a congregational church means you join in discerning and directing the future of our ministry with your heart, hands, voice and vote.
KCC is planning to have a meeting for prospective members on Saturday, January 29 at 10:00 am. This meeting is an opportunity for those interested in becoming members of KCC to meet with Rev. Jan and representatives of the Board of Membership to learn more about this congregation, one another, and our shared journey of faith. We have tentatively scheduled Sunday, February 13 as the date for welcoming new members. If interested in joining KCC, please contact Rev. Jan or Fran Bergeron, Board of Membership, chair, to let them know if those dates will work for you.
