Scripture: Psalm 29; Genesis 1:1-5; Mark 1:4-11. Water stories. The waters of creation and birth, the waters of flood and storm, the water of baptism. Water is the source of life and identity. We remember the beginning of Jesus’ ministry and his baptism today, and we remember our own, reclaiming that original blessing: “You are my beloved child with who I am well pleased.” We are ‘Cherished, Chosen and Called’.
