2 Corinthians 4:3-6; Mark 9:2-9. Epiphany season began with the light of a star and ends with the light shining in the face of Jesus on the mount of transfiguration. Before we descend the hill into the season of Lent we are called up to the mountaintop to see the Light of Christ and hear, as we did at his baptism: “This is my beloved son.” That moment of clarity (and mystery!) casts light enough for us to walk all the way to Golgotha. Tom Brillat will be leading worship this week
